A Guide with Examples," we explained that any entity, including a law firm run by an attorney, notary or legal counsel, can formally have only one ADE address in the Electronic Address Database. With some exceptions-for example, for those with multiple roles (individual + business + public trust profession)-you can have several addresses, but in practice each is a separate ADE, assigned to a specific function or entity.
This means that a law firm serving many clients still gets all correspondence in one box, which creates a real organizational challenge - manual sorting can be tedious, unreliable and lead to important mail being overlooked.
With this challenge in mind, Asseco Data Systems has announced the introduction of a new functionality specifically for law firms in Q3 2025. While it will still be possible to have only one ADE address, there will be the ability to tagging shipments, assigning them to clients and cases and create virtual internal structures for the mailbox. In other words - a one ADE, but operating like multiple workboxes. Such a solution will be particularly useful for law firms with a large volume of correspondence, which need to maintain transparency and order.
