e-Delivery in Poland: a new era of communication and digital security
Nowadays, public administration and entrepreneurs are increasingly willing to use new technologies that make life easier and communication processes more efficient. One of the important tools that are gaining importance in Poland are e-Delivery boxes. They allow sending and receiving official documents in a secure and remote manner. In turn, various abbreviations such as KURDE, PURDE, ADE, BAE, RDE or PUH may seem puzzling, but they are key elements of this system. What's the secret behind them?
What is e-Delivery?
e-Delivery is a service that allows citizens and companies to exchange official documents and other important letters electronically. Instead of traditional paper mail, which requires physical presence in offices or at the post office, e-Delivery allows you to handle matters online, which is both convenient and speeds up administrative processes. This is nothing more than the digital equivalent of a traditional mailbox, through which you can receive and send letters to offices, courts and other public institutions. Each citizen, company and institution has its own unique e-Delivery Address (ADE), which allows identification of the sender and recipient.
E-Grants boxes are the backbone of this system. Citizens and businesses can register their addresses in the Central Register of e-Guarantees so that public institutions can send documents to them. In order to receive such mailings, users must have an active account on the relevant platform: gov.pl or, via podpisano.pl have an e-Guarantee box.
e-Delivery box - your digital address for contacting authorities
In the digital age, we are doing more and more things online. It is no different with official correspondence. With help comes the e-Delivery box, which allows you to exchange documents with the public administration securely and quickly. But do you know what the mysterious abbreviations associated with e-Delivery, such as KURDE, PURDE or ADE, mean? We already explain!
Abbreviations related to e-Delivery: What do they mean?
Abbreviations such as KURDE, PURDE, ADE, BAE, RDE or PUH are used in the context of e-Delivery to denote different stages and types of electronic communication. Each has a specific role in the system and is associated with different document delivery processes. Here are their expansions and explanations:
- ADE - Electronic Delivery Address is your individual address in the e-Delivery system, which allows you to identify yourself uniquely. It can be compared to an email address, but with the difference that ADE is assigned to a specific person or institution and is used for official correspondence.
AE:PL-12345-67890-ABCDE-12
- BAE - Database of Electronic Addresses is a public registry maintained by the competent Minister of Digitization, in which there are addresses for e-Grants for:
- public entities and
- Citizens
- entrepreneurs
- RDE - Register of Electronic Deliveries is a central registry that collects information on all e-Delivery shipments. It allows you to track the history of all deliveries, verify the dates of sending and receiving them, and be sure that the delivery process was carried out in accordance with regulations. RDE guarantees proof of sending and receiving documents, which is crucial when dealing with the administration.
- PURDE - Public Registered Electronic Delivery Service. This service will enable data to be sent electronically between parties and provide evidence related to the handling of the sent data, including proof of sending and receiving, and ensure protection of the sent data from the risk of loss, theft, damage or any unauthorized change. e-Delivery provides communication with public entities, while Q-Delivery (also KURDE), as an additional service, provides communication with non-public entities, i.e. individuals and companies.
- KURDE - Qualified Registered Electronic Delivery Service (Q-Delivery) is a system for handling and billing e-Delivery shipments. It is a central service for communicating with non-public entities that have ADEs. It is a service that ensures safe, legal and secure delivery of electronic correspondence with the guarantee of the identity of the sender and recipient and the undeniability of delivery. Every piece of mail that passes through KURDE is properly registered and secured.
- PUH - Public Hybrid Service is provided by a designated operator (currently the Polish Postal Service) and involves the delivery of electronic messages in paper form to people who, for various reasons, do not want or cannot use the electronic service. Under the hybrid service, an electronic document is forwarded to a public e-delivery service provider, which prints it and delivers it in paper form to the addressee.
The e-Communication box is a modern and convenient solution that makes it easy to contact authorities. Knowing the abbreviations such as ADE, BAE, RDE, PUH, PURDE and KURDE will give you a better understanding of how the electronic communication system in Poland works and what benefits it offers. However, knowledge of these abbreviations is not necessary to use the e-Communication box - unless you are talking about your personal ADE. We encourage you to set up your own e-Delivery box via podpisano.pl and use its capabilities!
